Ox-Blood Valentines Cupcakes
Recipe from the Keosauqua Auxiliary Cookbook compliments of Connie Chase
2/3 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sour milk
3/4 c cocoa
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. boiling water
Cream
butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour - milk alternately. combine
cocoa, soda, salt and water. Fold into batter. Bake at 350 for 30
minutes.
