Burlap Yardstick Holders

I had to take a timeout from making Wee Folks to whip up one of these yardstick holders.

I got this idea from my Aunt Joy. She made this one 30+ years ago.

Here are some close ups of the folks.

I've started another one with felt chickens. Then I want to make one with a barn and some animals. And then... and then.. and then... Cheers!

Beeswax

I melted some beeswax yesterday and made these heart shaped votive candles. Their burn time has been steadily exceeding 30 minutes. Which was surprising to me. I've not tested a regular votive candle's burn time. (Good science experiment to add to the list!) They are so sweet. They also float! Note: burn time not tested on floaters. You can get the beeswax at The Dutchman Store.

Little Easter Bunny

I needle felted this little bunny for Henry's easter basket!

So many posts.. so little computer time..

I just delivered our first daffodil bouquets to Everybody's this morning! Here's a quick picture of the display. Papi Jim is working on a new wooden display for us. Can't wait to see it!

Spring is here!!

I've been all about the snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, "This is how I remember it! Isn't all this snow great," BUT even as an Iowa native I started losing hope... will spring ever return? It has!

Copy Cats

Ella busied herself the other afternoon by coping words from a book and minutes after the job was done I looked in and there was Henry!
